Many of our residents make their permanent home at St. Joseph’s. They receive compassionate care in a spirit of respect and dignity. Each of our floors has a specific focus:
- The 2nd floor is centered on short-term rehabilitation for residents who want to return to their previous level of independence and are anxious to return home. They are short stay residents and often are very alert and oriented. Many of the rooms have been remodeled with this resident in mind.
- Traditional long-term care residents are the focus of the 3rd floor. There is a greater familiarity between residents and staff members, and these residents are looking for the safety and home-like setting that this floor offers.
- Those suffering from Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia are best served on our 4th floor. The staff and environment are specifically geared towards their particular and special needs. Our Activities Department prepares programs and pursuits designed exclusively for them.
Our rooms-with-a-view are bright and cheerful and are equipped with cable and phone jacks to accommodate a personal television and phone. In fact, bring your own computer. Wi-Fi is present throughout the building. Although furnishing is available, we encourage the use of personal possessions to enhance the memories of and care for the resident.
Each floor has a comfortable lounge with scenic views. These rooms are ideal for family visits and activities. The main lobby provides two parlors for residents and their families to catch up on the latest news. There is also a Café where you can enjoy refreshments.
